FreshFridge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the FreshFridge app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

• Email address — used for account login and notifications
• Display name & profile picture — used to personalise your experience
• Fridge and food item data — items, expiry dates, and categories you enter
• Shopping list data — items you add to your shopping lists
• Expense data — receipts and spending information you upload
• Subscription data — your plan and billing status (payment is handled by Apple/Stripe)

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the FreshFridge service
• To send expiry reminders and shopping notifications (only if you opt in)
• To generate AI-powered recipe suggestions based on your fridge contents
• To process your subscription and manage billing
• To respond to support requests

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party services strictly to operate the app:

• Stripe — for web payment processing
• Apple — for in-app purchase processing on iOS
• RevenueCat — for subscription management on iOS
• OpenAI / Google AI — for AI recipe and product recognition features (no personally identifiable data is sent)

5. Family Sharing

If you share a fridge with family members, those members can see the items in your shared fridge and your display name. They cannot access your account settings, subscription, or any other personal data.

Family Sharing uses a code-based invite system. No third-party email addresses are entered into FreshFridge at any point. You share your invite code through your own messaging apps (e.g. iMessage, WhatsApp). The recipient enters the code in their own FreshFridge account to gain access.

FreshFridge does not access, read, or sync your device's address book or contact list. We never collect the contact information of any third party.

6. Referral Programme

Our referral programme works exclusively via a shareable link. FreshFridge does not ask you to enter or submit any third-party email addresses for referral purposes. You share your unique referral link through your own chosen messaging app. We do not collect, store, or process the contact information of any person you choose to share your link with.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time from Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes all fridges, items, shopping lists, expenses, and your account.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

9. Children's Privacy

FreshFridge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the in-app tools or contact us at the email below.
